“What do you mean?” Ariel asked.
“You’ve been gone for years Ariel. Everything here has changed.” replied Mia
“How long have I been gone? What’s going on? Longer than two years? That couldn’t possibly happen! I mean, you guys all look the same!” she replied as a look of disbelief fell upon her face.
“You’ve been gone for twenty years Ariel.” she said as she sighed.
“What? That can’t be! All this happened in twenty years? Irvin, what’s happened? Why aren’t you looking at me?” Ariel asked. The panic in her voice was apparantly rising rapidly.
“Ariel, you’ve been gone for twenty years and you’re never coming back. It happened on graduation night. We were all drunk and got into an accident. Everyone was okay, but you had been killed istantly.” he muttered quietly.
“What? You’ve gotta be kidding me. This is a joke right? Guys, tell me that this is a joke!”
“Ariel, you were used as a storage unit for the evil entity that would destroy the earth. When you died, it was unleashed.” Lora stated.
