God Bless Your Heart, Kait.
“Okay, pass up your French papers, and I’ll see you tomorrow.”
I tried erasing all my markings, but before I could, Greg grabbed my paper and passed it up.
“Wait! I need that back!”
“Get over it.”
“You don’t get it..”
But it was too late. My paper had already reached the front of the row, and the first person was already looking over them to be sure they were all there.
OMG . I grabbed my stuff and ran, but I could feel his eyes on me the entire way. I would give anything to turn around and just be able to talk to him without having to pretend to hate him, but..
I couldn’t give in like this.
Finally, I made it back to my locker. Kaitlyn was already there, ready to walk back to my house.
“Kait!” I practically yelled at her, spinning my locker combo at lightning speed.
“It’s okay, he’s not coming ye- oh wait, here he comes, I’ll cover you.”
