And the Duel Begins
That was how it was for the longest time. Adam and John, soul brothers, united by a piece of wooden art called “violin”.
However, things change. Change is nature’s only constant.
Figures it’d be a girl, right? So very trite, over-done…cliche.
But that’s what happened. We met her there, that night.
“You two were amazing!” She said, blushing. She had hair a remarkable shade of red.
“Uh…do we know you?” I was done telling Adam to speak for himself. He never did.
“Barely. I take singing lessons at Parson’s, in the room right next to where you practice. I’m Grace.”
Why hadn’t I noticed her before? Gorgeous blue eyes, curly red hair…cupid’s bow lips. You could tell she didn’t even try to look good. Ha…she didn’t have to.
Turning on the charm (who’m I kidding?), I said, “So when can I hear you sing?”
“What?” she smiled. I could feel Adam’s glare.
“I figure it’s only fair. You heard me perform…”
“Us.” Adam insisted.
That was the beginning of the true duel.
