really liked the description of the sky looking like a a cracked windshield when the lightning struck, and the continuation of the metaphor when it broke under weight of the water making the rain come down. Excellent imagination.

I agree with Tad, I also liked the paragraph about Grandma watching the TV as if it would mean life or death. :) I can totally relate!
