More Than Just A Pirate's Song
My breathing came in frenzied gasps as Jack traced circles on my stomach and pressed his lips into mine like he was giving oxygen to my dead body. One chance, last chance.
And then, all of a sudden, he stopped.
Everything was still and all I could hear was Jack and me breathing. I openned my eyes to see him staring back at me but he looked..
Worried?
Melancholic?
Desperate?
Lustfull?
Not like Jack? Yes.
My thin eyebrows pulled down and creases lined my forehead.
Ever so slightly he shook his head and bent his head towards me once more, but stopped, froze again.
I was a nervous trainwreck instantly as I always was with Jack’s sudden mood swings.
“I am no gentlemen,” he sang, “I can be a prick, and I do regret more than I admit; you have been followed back to the same place I sat with you drink for drink. Take the pain outta love and love won’t exist.”
And I was breathing again. I had never heard him sing like that before.. it was.. unbelievable.
“I’ll be with you wherever you go,” he finished.
