Like Karaoke, Only Better
I know, isn’t it awesome.
“It’s okay, I guess.”
As we approached my new car he gawked, his mouth was literally hanging open! We walked so close together I thought I was going to faint! His cologne smelt so good.
Inside the Ford, you could smell the fresh leather and that new car smell still lingered in the air. I turned the key in the ignition, and lights popped on everywhere.
“So, what’s your address?” I asked, ready to put it in the navigation system. He told me, then one of my all time favorite songs came on the radio. I just had to stop what I was doing to sing along.
“I love Situations! Escape the Fate is, like, really good!” Garrett said, barely loud enough to hear. Now it was my time to gawk. “Oh my God! I adore this song.”
It was the perfect moment, Garrett and me, singing along to my—our favorite song. We could barely get to the chorus before we exploded in laughter.
I was actually having fun, well, that’s a first!
