It is a warm winter. Unique and I decide we will abandon burrow this spring. Naira has caught the eye of several neighboring pika boys and is still decided which one she likes the best. She is a bit of a flirt. I frown at her much, I feel sorry for the poor boys that she has no interest in. Those pika boys are all small and runtish, she is only impressed by the large pikas. I had a stern conversation with her, to remind her that her father was a runt, and he had won all of the matches for our territory. She told me that I was fast and strong for my size, these pikas were simply pathetic. I don’t think I will miss her catty remarks when she leaves.
Amady has already found a nice Pika girl, Karys. They will do well together. Despite my disappointment with Naira, I am proud of them. I will miss them when they go.
