My Life Changed (A Dedicated Story)
For months I just came home and sat in my room blaring “I Miss You” by Avril Lavigne. I cried so much I ran out of tears. I stopped eating and talking.
We were on our way to church. Everything seemed weird that day, like something was going to happen, I just didn’t know it would be this. We crossed an intersection and an off-duty police officer ran a red light. Everything blacked out all I remember is screaming as I see this car coming from the passenger side toward us. I was in the hospital and I suffered from some brain damage and I became crossed-eyed. My mom hurt her back. My sister, however, was in the passenger seat. She went into a coma then died.
It definitely changed me. The worst part is he didn’t even loose his job. Just went to jail and his job went on probation. I will never be the same person as I was before the crash. I just miss her so much and I want her back everyday. It took me so long to figure out I really needed help.
Dedicated to Jackie T. R.I.P 2000, sister of a friend.
