Frozen Adventure
“LIZZY!” Maya called, her hands cold and her breath showing in the cold wind. “Lizzy, where are you, girl?” Maya tramped over the snow in haste, her boots leaving a deep impression in the soft material. She started to cry. Lizzy was her beloved Australian Shepherd. Her family had been decorating the Christmas tree when out bounded Lizzy.
She had been swallowed up by the night in less than a minute , and now they had no clue as to where she was. The tears felt warm, but soon froze on Maya’s cheeks. She rubbed her hands together for warmth. Maya squinted to see through the snow-flurry. It was the figure of a man. She could faintly hear barking.
“Lizzy?” Maya was hopeful. She ran a bit faster. She came closer. What she saw made her gasp. A tall man, in an overcoat and a cap had forced a collar on Lizzy and clipped a chain to it. Maya covered her mouth. She hastened herself and hid behind a fence. The man cursed and shoved Lizzy in a car.
Where was this weirdo taking her dog?!
