No One Knows
Chaz drops three sugar cubes into his coffee cup, adds a few tablespoonfuls of creamer and rolls his neck, allowing it to make the popping sound that so annoys his co-workers in their cramped space.
He turns around and looks across the small room, a hive of frenetic activity. No one knows what the next few days or weeks will bring, now that they have arrived. All Chaz knows is that he’ll be instrumental in whatever it is, given his knowledge and job position.
He sips his coffee, sweet and white, just the way he likes it. Yes, the next few days will be interesting indeed.
