The Endorphin Called Music

As I strum, I feel the pulse of the beat running through me and the vibration of the guitar passing into my hand. I sing with all my heart and I feel like I’m soaring. The beat has totally taken control now. People start to tap their feet or clap, and some start to sing along.

When I play the guitar, I feel like I have sprouted wings. On the piano, I feel like I am a gentle bringer of musical messages. The guitar is more powerful and easier to play songs with. The piano is softer, but can become inebriating when played on forte. I have never known bigger exhilaration than when my voice matches the instrument and the song feels like it is reaching its climax.

When I am troubled, I turn to music and blow some steam off. When I relax, I listen to lulling music like guitar or maybe a soundtrack of Enya, or Loreena Mckennitt. Corrs and Blackmore’s Night are on my list too.

What about you? What makes your heart soar when you play? Let’s share the beauty of music all together!
