“Okay, so where would this mythical transport be?”, I asked.
“She is waiting on your fire escape.”, he said.
I peered out through the blinds of my window, but relaxed when the sight offered nothing more than a rusted platform leading to some stairs with the brick wall of the neighboring building as backdrop.
“There’s no dragon there.”, I said.
“Jocinda, use your head. The dragon is invisible. Geesh.. A visible dragon around humans? Can you imagine the havoc that would cause? The only time we got away with that was that one year in the Madison Day Parade.. disguised as a balloon.”, muttered the cat.
“If it is invisible around humans, how am I supposed to see it so I can get on?”, I asked, somewhat exacerbated.
“Oh!”, said the snake. “So sorry, I forgot. Stick your bunny slippers out the window first.”
