magical place (memory challenge)

I stared out my window at 4 am. I was going there. To that wonderful place my mom raved about. Sleepaway camp. I ran out of my room, ernestly brushing my teeth. I put my camp uniform on. My mom drove me to the airpor and I saw a girl I barley knew before, however acted as if we knew each other every year for the previous 8 years. We sat on the plane eating cookies at 7. We met up with some girls from Boston and took a long bus to camp. We got tired and our ears hurt from screaming “cool” older kids. We eventually woke up and we looked around at the landscape. Everywhere we looked there were towering pine trees. Oh, how different from our lives in suburbia. I stepped off the bus. And me and my new best friend as of 12 hours were told we were to lodge in bunk 4 for the next seven weeks. The best seven weeks I had ever experienced up to that point in my life.
