Chained

I slowly dragged the chains along the edge of the metal table so they went clink clink clink over and over again. Any other time I would have annoyed myself, but I was quite content. I could feel their irritation even through the observation glass, which wasn’t as thick as the wall.
The door opened and I looked up, not entirely happy to see my captor. His blond hair fell artfully into his eyes and I tried to ignore his cobalt blue eyes. Those eyes weren’t human. No, they were demon. I could smell the demon radiating off of him as if it were a natural flame.
“Ellane, you have evaded us for too long,” he murmured, folding all of his 6 feet 3 inches into the chair, propping his legs up on the table so I saw the bottom of his combat boots. “You owe us some answers.”
I glanced and him and began dragging the chains along the table again.
