Foolish Thoughts 5

Then, one day, the sun shone with a devine radiance that lit up even the far reaches of the sea bottom. One flash of sunshine brought back to him all his memories of flight, the rush of the wind in his powerful wings, the thrill of the hunt and the joy of capture.

He saw, as if for the first time, the nobility of his form, the divinity of purpose inherent in his nature. Yes, oh yes, you could say he saw himself through the eyes of his creator.

“Hmmm,” though he, the world would better be. if only this one wosh could be. I am that I am sea eagle, no more foolish thoughts for me.”

At once, he awoke, as if from a dream on a rocky perch of a craggy cliff near the peak of Mount Deception. His eyes were keen. His talons were sharp, his wings strong. He was in all ways a beautiful bird.

The sea eagle has never again been troubled by foolish thoughts.
