Denial.

Please, tell me what is going on. Please, Kamaria thought, but she just said, “W-what are you talking about? Please, let me out,” she said as she shoved past the creepy stranger. Kamaria went to her new locker that still smelled like horribly bright blue paint, took her mirror out of her backpack, and hung it up. She still couldn’t get over the fact that she was almost horrendously beautiful. Seriously, when did this happen? she thought. She smiled to get a better look at her teeth. They were suddenly gleaming white, straight, and perfect… except for those fangs. I must be hallucinating, she thought, first day jitters. That’s all. She went on to all her classes, making sure to keep her newly-perfect lips covering her pearly whites. All that time, though, she had the feeling that she was being watched.

She walked into the hallway. That was when she got a glance of him.

Oh my God, she thought, he’s as beautiful as me…
