Lazy Summertime Ritual
Two friends are enjoying the beauty of a summer night. They are lying on thier backs looking up at the sky, gazing at the stars.
These friends do this night after night. They love the stars. This is what they have been doing since they were young children. During the summer nights, they stargaze.
Now that they are in thier teens, they stargaze, gossip, and generally talk about life. This is thier moment away from the world. Just them and the heavens above them.
“So whats the deal with that guy across the street?” Was a question posed to one friend to the other.
“Honestly I have no clue, he just stands there on his board, no friends nothing” was the response.
“He must be new to the neighborhood” was the one friends suggestion.
“perhaps” was the reply from the other.
The two of them begin to sing a song. They knew the song really well. Both of them sing every word. They don’t even miss a verse. They take turns singing parts of the song. Once they finish they laugh.
