I got tired of waiting for Autumn, so I was playing lacrosse with some of The Guys when she texted me.
Without a word of reason, I sprinted with lacrosse stick still in hand towards my school.
I found Autumn sitting on the school’s stone steps, crying her eyes out.
I sat down next to her, and pressed my cheek against hers.
“I’m here, Autumn. Whats wrong?”
As I held her, she told me everything. Kait’s background, what she said, how she liked me….everything.
We talked alot from there, and we thought about what we could do about this.
Autumn knew, and I didn’t like it.
“What!?” I exclaimed. “I can’t to that with her!”
“You have to.” She said.
“There has to be another way!”
“There isn’t.”
Damn….
I comforted her a little from there, after she got into a better mood she smiled at me.
“What?” I said.
“I know you still want that surprise.” She said in a playful tone.
“What is it?” I said, softly brushing a red wisp of hair from her face.
“This.”
