All Together
“My dad took me hunting. I have my own gun at home,” Mark said, still unsure where this was going.
“Well, as you know, when the sun goes down, we all go canine,” Iris said, “And you’ll be the only one with human hands. So if a single one of those dirty bastards sets a paw in this house,” Iris handed him a shotgun, “Please don’t hesitate to use this.”
“Kill someone?” Mark gaped.
“Mom, don’t drag Mark into this!” Luna stepped in front of Mark.
“Too late for that, honey. He’s here, with us, and he knows we’re wolves. If he’s not on their black-list already, I’d be surprised,” Iris smirked.
Luna pouted. Mark looked at the shotgun. He shouldered it.
“What’s with the firearms?” Luna’s father was standing in the doorway.
“How’d you unlock the door?” Luna gasped.
“This is my house, Luna,” he smiled.
“One of the Chekkovs is chasing ‘em… I was giving little Mark here a small lecture about them,” Iris hugged her husband.
There was a bang on the door.
“We got company,” Riley smiled grimly.
