Learning More About Aedin
“Tell me more about him,” Kamaria laid back, munching on a few chips.
“There isn’t much to tell,” Jenny said, thoughtfully sipping cherry juice. “Aedin’s always been perfect, all the years I’ve been at school…Top grades, outstanding performance…He’s almost like a robot!” Jenny lingered on it for a while, then shuddered. “The thing is, he can read minds-that’s what creeps me out.”
“I figured,” Kamaria remembered their run-in in the storage room.
“He’s like a spider,” Jenny remarked. “He has webs everywhere and he knows about every single thing that’s going on in this school.”
“That is creepy,” Kamaria squished her eyes closed. Where the heck had she come?
“Speaking of answers and explanations-What are you?” Kamaria asked.
“What am I?” Jenny raised an eyebrow.
“For example: I’m a vampire, Aedin can read minds,” Kamaria pointed out.
“Oh, that! I’m in Priority D class,” Jenny said smugly.
“And that is?”
” ‘Destructive and dangerous abilities,’ ” Jenny chuckled.
I don’t like the sound of that.
