What Next-2

On my back home ride the train was not over crowded. Tired, worried looking and a few sleepy passengers beside some readers all were seated. My mind went to this morning question of a senior Torontonian. I thought Toronto might grow touching Ottawa Hamilton and Thunder Bay in its surroundings by 2002. And then an empty coke tin dancing around on the train floor hijacked my thoughts. Curiously I looked at it rolling from under seat-to-seat when yet another empty joined it. This was Pepsi challenging the Coke empty tin… as an irregular push and pull on the train floor continued between both for a while. Then Pepsi got a long role away leaving the Coke tin alone as before. This brief glimpse of empties’ push and pull recalled me a smoker friend who would smoke expensive cigarettes saying they push cheaper cigarettes’ smoke out of the room. By next minute my stationed had arrived and I got off thinking expensive vs. cheap and old vs. new was the on going Toronto’ tussle.
