Ficlets

Winners of the Picture Challenge (drum roll, please...)

It was truly a challenge (ha, ha) picking the winner, as all the entries were topnotch. But I think you’ll agree that these three stood out the most:

In First Place, Beheaded by Mistress Elsha Hawk. This was beautifully written and haunting, and it really deserved being a featured ficlet. The characterization and narration were excellent. The clear winner.

In Second Place, Survivor by pinprick. It had one of the most unique settings of all the entires, depicting a harsh, unforgiving world that calls to mind the not-so-distant countries where violent battles are currently being waged while we watch the news headlines from the comfort and relative safety of our living rooms. A very memorable piece.

And last but certainly not least, in Third Place, Acquiring The Dolls by artistsrunwild. Her story had one of the most evil characters I’ve ever met in a ficlet, Jaclyn, whose ruthlessness has to be seen to be believed.

Thank you to all who entered! I enjoyed reading all of your stories. :-)
