Joan's story

Joan bounds down the steps. Fleeing her building. She holds her cellphone next to her ear. There is a pause in conversation. She will not utter a single word until she is at her designated location.

“This is so unfair!” She laments to her friend. In an exasperated tone.

Yet again she has to continue a conversation outside, because of her controlling and unreasonable roomate.

“I didn’t even know she was home” She comments in a hushed and fustrated tone.

“I know its almost like your living with your mother again” Paul chides in a humerous tone.

“Don’t I know it, I pay her rent I shouldn’t have to be treated like this!” Joan confesses.

“I know how you feel darlin, living with my dad I know how it is”

Joan laments about thier schedules and how they are completely oposite.
“I am working nights this weekend so I shouldn’t have to be living on her schedule, ya know. I am a night owl, I can’t help it” Joan confesses.

Finally they return to the origional topic, Joan explains her story.
