Lost
Caitlen stared out into the distance. Nothing was to be seen. She bit her lip, trying to get a hold on her emtotions. Her car had broke down in the middle of a deserted highway and she even though she knew where she was, she didn’t know how to get home. She dialled her home number. “Damn!” She thought. “No reception. Just great!” She mumbled under her breath. She shifted round and got full reception. She punched in the numbers for her home and waited. “Hello?” Her father’s deep voice answered the phone. “Hey dad, it’s me Caitlen.” Caitlen said, her voice quivering. “What is it darling? Are you ok?” Her dad asked. “Dad, my car has broke down on the middle of this empty highway and I’m scared.” She replied, and burst into tears. “Don’t worry, do you know where you are?” Her father’s calm said. Caitlen told him where she was. “Ok then, I’ll come out and get you. You just stay calm. Bye now! I’m leaving.” Caitlen hung up and sat down by the road…It was going to be a long wait.
