No One
“Nothing?” I sputtered outraged. Tony and Michael turned around and their jaws dropped. “You call abusing me and Hannah nothing?”
“Now, now, girls,” officer Luke tried to calm down both me and Hannah who had run out of her house and stood beside me. “How can we be sure that it really happened? Do you have any proof? This could be an elaborate prank!”
“Other than Amy’s and my own new bruises and the total of two witnesses now? Uh, let me think…Yes!” Tony and Michael seemed to regain a little of their blithe nature and smiled.
“Really, Hannah? What would that be?” Tony asked while Michael excused himself to use the bathroom.
“Pictures,” I said for her. “I took a pic of you and Michael…” My sentence faded as the grin on his face was explained. “NO!” Everyone jumped a little but I didn’t care as I ran. I had just realized what Tony was planning.
Because no one had noticed Tony throw the camera away. No one had noticed that Michael had gone to the backyard. No one was going to get in trouble.
