Too Late
Ok, I’ll admit it. The first thing I noticed was that it was cold.
But the second thing was…what was it?... Oh yeah, that I was at the top of some mountain with no visible way to get down!
“You don’t have to worry about getting down the mountain, actually.” I was getting used to him knowing everything I thought so I didn’t jump or fall off the edge like I normally would’ve.
“Why am I here?” He threw me mock puzzled look and I gestured wildly around me.
“For your test.”
I looked down the side of the mountain and judged the idstance to the ground. ‘Even the weakest air elemental would be able to cushion their fall-’
“Kyra, NO!” Too late.
I enjoyed the feeling of the air rushing past my face as I freefalled to my possible demise. ‘I haven’t done something this fun since…’ I stopped myself from thinking ‘since I left home’.
‘I’d better stop soon,’ I thought sadly. I conjured up all the power I could and commanded the air to grow hard beneath me. “Ooof!”
