Dropped In
In retrospect, I suppose it wasn’t smart to pick up the harness in the beginning, but a parachute was a really cool find, and all logical thought went out the window afterward. If it hadn’t been windy, I’m sure everything would have turned out fine, but there I was, getting scooped up by a strong wind.
Amazing, how the parachute seemed to take off vertically. It pulled me almost straight up, but not enough. I was pulled through the nearby trees where I lost my pants and shoes. Then I caught nothing but air.
It’s an exhilarating feeling, being whisked about in the air, but I admit it was difficult to really enjoy the moment, as I had not intended to display myself to the world in this specific manner, at this particular moment in time. Yet there I was, floating toward a large building near the edge of town.
