Just Call her Bit
I raised my head off the back of the seat to try and get a good feel of what exactly Tracker wanted from me. No clue. So I answered as best as I could. “Well, I’ve been by on my own for 8 months.” Then I stopped. Thought about what Green Eyes had told me earlier about the others in my cave.
“Let me clear that up. I’ve been avoiding them for 8 months.” I heard her snicker. Saw Tracker try to non-chalantly poke her in the side so I could continue, “Posed a few times as an Accomplice to the Force when strapped for cash, which was where I was coming from when I was picked up by Green Eyes here.”
Tracker frowned for a moment, in thought. “What exactly is this Force you’re talking about? Do you even know.” The first part was a question, last half was a definite statement. He knew I had no clue. I had a feeling he was about to tell me something I probably didn’t want to know.
And of course, with the look of utter confusion on my face, came the infamous grin on his. “By the way, just call her Bit.”
