All A Lie

You now ignore me, as if I am not there.
When you used to hold my hand, now you are fiddling with your hair.
The thought of us no more gives me a scare,
because that is definitely not fair.

We mesh so well, it’s like a fairy tale.
The girl falls in love, and marries the charming male.
But now you act as if I’m a repulsive snail,
Not even good enough to be a dog’s tail.

It’s like someone has put a spell on you,
To ignore me and our love too.
To pretend we were never stuck like glue,
like you’re a bad husband who just got sued.

All I have to say is why.
Why did you give me that hope, then just let it die?
Is it something I did, because I feel about to cry.
But I suppose everything you did was just a lie.
