Keeping the Trust
“Who were you talking to?” Jacob asked. Oh no, I can’t lie to him our relationship will be ruined, but if I tell him that might get us into more trouble. I rather keep the trust, deep breath. “It was Owen” I told him straight, looking him in the eye. Jacob sighed, “What did he want?â? “He said he didn’t want to create a scene he just wanted to meet and tell him to meet at ‘Our Place’.” I winced at that word. Owen and I’s place was where he forced me to do a lot of things. I never told Jacob that, I just told him it was a very bad place and he sort of got the just of it. “I have to do itâ?, I told him,â? If I do and back down without you around, he might go away. I have to do this.” Jacob thought about it for a minute and had a big frown on his face. I could tell this wasn’t easy for him. “If it makes you feel better you can wait outside in the car and if I don’t come out in fifteen minutes, you can call the cops. OK?”. He thought some more then said “OK”, but he still didn’t look happy.
