Looking back, it’s funny to think that I’ve only been on Ficlets for five months. I feel like my writing has matured so much since then, and me along with it.

I stumbled onto this site through AIM and quickly fell in love.

I’m pretty shy about sharing my writing, and besides, it’s tough for me to think of long story lines, so Ficlets has been an immeasurable help to me.

My earlier Ficlets are pretty much just about whatever was flying through my head at the time…and I suppose many still are, although nature has become a favorite topic. My latest writing-related discovery is that poems help me to express myself…and are a fun way to do it. Since I realized this, I’ve been writing a lot of poetry.

The more I log into Ficlets, the more I appreciate the little community everyone on this site has built and helped contribute to. It makes my day to sign in and realize I’m receiving compliments and suggestions from complete strangers.
