Conflicting Voices In My Head!!!!
NO!
Maybe?
No!
perhaps?
No!
but what is he going to say?
Probably something stupid.
But what if he really does have a reason?
He doesn’t.
but what if he does?
think of what he did!
he was drunk…
exactly.
exactly.
Oh the conflicting voices of my head.
I looked at him, his eyes seemed genuine… but how could I trust anything he said?
“Make it quick,” I muttered.
His face brightened, “Really?”
I glared at him, “I didn’t say I’d forgive you, I said I would listen!”
“Oh, well, ok. Why don’t I take it from the beginning?”
“Is this long?”
“um, it kind of has to be”
“Great. Goodbye.”
“No please wait, I’ll try to make it fast.”
I turned back around.
“Well, go ahead!”
“Oh well, ok,” he stuck his hands in his pockets, thinking for a second, “January 1st, 2006. 12:01.”
A stared at him, confused.
“That was my first drink of alcohol.”
“Freshman year?”
“Yeah. It was at a party, we were celebrating the end of my first year in varsity soccer. All the guys were there…”
