Blake's Story- Part 2

He stared at me, a hopeless look in his eyes, “You have no idea how frightening it is to wake up and not know what you’ve done or who you’ve done it with. It’s scary, Judie.â€?
This was feeling a little stupid, “Then why don’t you just quit?â€?
He let out a hollow laugh, “It’s not that easy, Judie. Trust me. I’ve tried.â€?
“Then try harder!â€?
“Judie, I’m a jock. In fact, I’m worse than that, I’m a really good jock. I want to be captain of the team next year; I need to be to get into a good college team. To do that, I have to make sure everyone on the team likes me. All of them drink, and most of them think people who don’t drink are lame. I can’t lose to someone like Dan because people like him more! I know I’m better than him, and they know it too, so I need to make sure they like me as a guy too, not just a player.â€?
I looked away, frustrated.
“And when you’re trying to quit something and you don’t have any support from your friends it’s almost impossible, Judie. I’ve tried, really. You were one way I did.â€?
