School
The next day was bright and lovely, like the one before. Sora sighed and got up from bed. She had to go to school today. What disaster was going to occur now?
“Well, I can’t run away from it, can I, Sugar?” she asked her fat cat. Sugar purred in response, stretching out, exposing her soft white belly. Sora patted her head and changed into her uniform.
She took her walking stick and put her bag on her back.
“I’m off now!” she yelled.
“Have a safe trip!” her mother said, smiling as she washed the dishes.
Sora sighed as she closed the door.
She walked down the road, feeling her way with her hands and her walking stick. Sora soon got to the school gate.
“My, my, look who plucked up courage and came to school today,” said a sneering voice.
“Stay away from me,” Sora warned, taking a step backward.
“Aww, feeling insecure?”
A hand choked her from the back of her neck. Sora gasped as her breath left her.
“Don’t touch me!” she slapped away the hand. “Keep away from me, Lilith.”
“Why, don’t you love your sister?”
