Thank you for the letter. It came in due time. Although, you never once mentioned Alec. I am curious as to whether that was good or not. Good being in he is such a dull person to be around that mentioning him is above you. Or bad in the fact that you two are so in love that you have to hide it from me. Am I looking into this too deep?

As for your mother, (Hello, Mrs. H, if you are, and most likely reading this) well, I’m too tired to come up with death plots for her today. (Say hi to uncle for me, Mrs. H, I’m sure he’s curious to know that I’m up to no good!)

And for you, Amberly, you sounded a bit cheery in your letter. Have I not gotten my hatred across to you? It was reassuring to know, of course, that the feeling is still mutual.
