Superhero Obituaries - Eric "Midas" Banks

Las Vegas, NV – Multi-billionaire philanthropist, Eric “Midas” Banks, was found dead in his Las Vegas mansion early Thursday morning. There has been no word on cause of death. However, police are treating his death as “suspicious”.

Banks was a well known financier of numerous superheroes. Starting in 1957 with now retired hero Bruce “Gatecrasher” Jones, Banks is believed to have funded the careers of nearly three dozen superheroes, many of whom continue to receive funds from his estate to this day.

In an interview just a week before his death, Banks was quoted as saying, “I have only one regret in my life, and that’s financing that twit, Ressurec-Ted. Do you have any idea how much I’ve spent on funerals for him?! No sense of money, that guy!” Banks relationship with Ressurec-Ted ended in 1973, when Ted died 17 times in a span of 2 months, almost bankrupting Banks.

A private ceremony will be held for Banks, after which he will be buried in his favourite vacation spot – Fort Knox.
