The Light You Have Shed(Places of My Mind Catena)
I’m gradually regaining control of my life,
slowing down the chaos of my mind.
I’m calm as I approach my solitude for this final time,
and no longer disoriented or confused.
Raindrops cascade down on my shoulders,
dance upon the crumbling surface of the asphalt.
As I gaze up at the gloomy, dark sky,
the gray clouds begin to blow away,
the rain starts to slow its rapid descent.
The sun reveals itself from behind the overcast sky,
illuminating the leftover raindrops upon the fallen leaves,
like the recent light to shine on me with your return.
My past days of worry have suddenly come to an end,
the weight has been lifted off my shoulders,
and I can now see the light;
the light you have shed upon my soul.
