There’s one thing everybody understands. A smile. To you, what goes through your mind when someone smiles at you?
Answer:
Smile.
Laugh.
Grin.
Snicker.
Chuckle.
Smirk.
Happiness.

This strange thing
that our founding fathers
held so dear.
Did they not
stress that all men
would have
the right to
“life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.â€??
After watching the movie
starring Will Smith,
also called The Pursuit of Happyness,
one line struck me the most.

Chris Gardener, the main character, said,
“It was right then that I started thinking about Thomas Jefferson on the Declaration of Independence and the part about our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And I remember thinking how did he know to put the pursuit part in there? ...No matter what. How did he know that?â€?

I’ve been thinking about this,
and I realized,
the smiles we share are
just small steps.
We’re all pursuing happiness.
