Breaking Away
I sat, dazed, at my window sill. Had last night been a dream? Coco was sprawled on my bed, regardless of my death threats.
I touched my lips. It had been a dreamy moment; Like something out of a book or a movie. I closed my eyes and leaned against the wall. I took a deep breath. I shouted out to the forest, startling the birds and Coco.
“I’ve fallen in LOVE !” I spun around until I was dizzy. I felt giddy, like I was drunk; I hugged Coco and “danced” with her across the room. She had a questioning look on her snout, but she played with me anyway.
I reached my hands out to the blue sky; I felt like I could touch the clouds. I’ve never felt so happy in my entire life.
I smiled so much I thought my face would crack.
For once in my life, I was taking a risk.
I was breaking away from my world.
