August's pain
As August continues sorting through her things, her thoughts return back to Matt. She wishes that she could tell him, about her failed marriage. She remembers thier close friendship in highschool, and how he was always there for her. She wishe’s this would be no diffrent. That he was still there.
There is a heavy feeling in the air, the silence is almost deafining. It almost makes her ears ring. The ferrets must be asleep, because she does not hear them moving around in there. No sounds of them being playful.
The room seemed hollow and empty. Her things were strewn about the place in such a chaotic fashion. There was no sense of stability. Everything from now on seemed uncertain and unclear. She had to learn to live without someone, she spent five years with. It would be painful at best. Was she ready? Was she ready to make a bold step into the un known. August thought to herself, if she just stays here a little bit longer, she hasn’t really left him. He is still here, even if its in memory.
