Sushi is made out of WHAT???
When I went back into the sushi kitchens, the workers attacked me. They made me put on a hat, gloves, and a red apron that was way too long for me. Did anyone else notice that it smelled like raw fish in the kitchens?
I didn’t think so.
One woman threw me a sheet of some kind of blackish greenish substance.
“What do I do with this?” I asked her. She started speaking in Chinese, which I do not understand. She kept repeating the word “nori” a lot. I had no idea what nori was, so I asked another person.
“It’s seaweed, you make the sushi out of the seaweed,” he answered when I asked him. Sushi is made out of WHAT ?? I’ve got one thing to say, eww.
“You put the rice in the nori, yeah, and then you put the shrimp in the nori,” he told me.
So that’s why the kitchens smelled like raw fish. Wait, that’s not a good thing. I’m alergic to shrimp! Actually, I’m allergic to any kind of fish, but that’s not the point. It was even worse when I saw the shrimp. It was cold and raw.
