The Dragon Protectors
Riding into the dark sunset, I could finally see the dragon up ahead.
“Come on Lance, you can do it,” I urged my horse.
I was going so fast now that I could only see what lay ahead of me. The trees on either side were just green blurs. My mind was so focused on my task, I barely noticed the person lying in wait just ahead of me. Startled, I stopped my horse immediately. There I saw a boy. It was a young, scaly boy. Wait- scaly? That could only mean…
“Yes, it is I, sir,” the boy said, a mischievious glare in his dark brown Asian eyes. He knew he had already won.
Before I could utter a word my horse and I were turned to stone.
