The Library
For the last couple of weeks we’ve been preparing very hard for our confrontation with the evil in the library. We’ve watched two marathons of McGyver and seasons one through three of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, with a couple Jackie Chan movies thrown in for good measure. We’ve been eating spinach at every meal. We’ve been collecting rusty metal tools of every variety, using Sarah’s seventh sense to discover which were enchanted (her sixth sense is her sense of torm – that’s as much as she was willing to explain). We’ve gotten our Tetnus shots. We’ve invented a secret handshake.
I’ve been teaching Sarah how to tiptoe. When it’s finally time, we’ll both need to so we can catch the evil off guard. She’s a surprisingly quick learner. Sarah claims it’s because she was a ballerina in her past life. She’s been teaching me how to make picture frames out of popsicle sticks. Mother’s day is coming up soon you know, and as a detective and evil fighter you have to be prepared for every occasion.
