Dark
It was dark, dark, I hated the…dark. You never knew what was lurking behind the bushes, in the shadows, perched in the trees. I had to. I had to go to to store for my mom, but it was dark. DARK . I couldn’t stand the dark. I walked along the trail towards the town, being able to see only a few feet in front of me because of the fog.
Then I heard it. Something was on the trail, only a few feet in front of me, but I couldn’t see because of the dark and hazy fog. I could have sworn my heart was racing so fast it probably exploded. Then it jumped, knocking me to the ground, unconscious. There I lay for who knows how long…
