Spaceships Are Us
I suppose it looked a little strange. I mean, when most Earthlings thought of a spaceship, they thought of something that resembled an old fashioned airplane, sleek, shiny, with seats up front for a pilot and copilot, and perhaps seats in the rear for passengers, or maybe space for cargo.
But, the simple fact was, modern spaceships didn’t look like those old memories. Modern spaceships were quite asymmetrical, usually with large, bulbous appendages attached all over the central, dark, spherical body.
Even the seats for the pilot and copilot didn’t exist, at least, not as non-space travelers imagined them. For, you see, the fact was, that while the copilot was always a humanoid, the pilot was always an equine. Yes, what’s commonly called a horse. But, it’s only logical. Horses are natural born navigators. They can run through a field on Earth while dodging holes. And, with the same ease, they can speed through an asteroid field in a spaceship without bumping a single asteroid.
