And The Winner is....
They placed the diamond studded crown on top of her golden curls. Tears had been streaming down her face as soon as they had called her name, leaving behind wet,shiny cheeks. Although she had promised back stage that she wouldn’t, she began fanning her face with her hands like they do on T.V. They hung the sash around her, then handed her the bundle of red roses.
I begin to cry. That crown should have been mine. I should have won instead of getting runner up. I watched her walk down the center platform. She was waving and blowing kisses like she was a celebrity. Before I knew it, I lunged at her. She began to fall. Her screams of pain made me flee. The stage was much higher then I thought.
