The Coming Of The Hail
On Sunday it started to rain. The rain wasn’t pounding on the house but, all day and all night there was a constant pitter-patter of never-ending rainfall. On Monday we went to school and as far as I could tell it had rained all night, and the rain poured over my cold helpless body as I trudged up the hill to my bus. It seemed to be coming down harder. By Wendesday the flooding gutters had iced over, as a cold front flooded through all of Indiana. It was impossible to see out of any windows, so we were stuck inside… Of course we didn’t have a the day off though (the rain had turned to sleat). On Thursday they finally called off school, because the salt trucks were iced inside there garages. For one day nobody could leave their homes and the whole state was quiet. But, after all that I know that Friday was the Worst.
