Just A Little Different
I count the room numbers, trying to find number 13. I wonder how many times I’ve done this. Let’s see, 11? No, wait. California. How could I forget California? Oh, and Ohio… well I can see why I forgot that. We were only there 1 month. So, I’ve done this 13 times? Well that’s ironic isn’t it? I finally find the class and walk in.
Teacher: “Oh good, you found us.â? Duh, do I look like an idiot to you? I know how to find my way around places.
Me: “Yeah.â?
Teacher: “Class, this is Cynthia.â?
Class (droning): “Hi Cynthiaâ?
Teacher: “Why don’t you tell us something interesting about yourself Cynthia?â?

Me: “Hi Nebraska, I’m Cynthia. My Dad’s an alcoholic.â?
