I’m not afraid to admit that I’m officially a ficletholic. It all started when a friend introduced me to the wonderful world that is ficlets. I couldn’t say no, I just had to try it!
As my fellow ficleteer, kermitgorf says: Adlitaf! Most of my free time is spent on the computer reading, commenting, and writing. When I’m at school, instead of paying attention I write ideas for ficlets. I’ve even had dreams about ficlets. Now that’s odd!
Once I stopped and wondered if this could possibly be an unhealthy addiction. And although staring at the computer for hours and typing until your fingers are numb may not be a very good thing, it has given me a something to look forward to and to be proud of.
At one point I was actually grounded from the computer. Now that was scary. I had ficlet withdrawals. I was like a drug addict who’s forced to quit cold turkey. Yeah, not good.
But everything is fine now. I’m just another person obsessed with this site. I’m not crazy, I just love ficlets!!! ;-)
