Can't Remember What I Forgot
Here’s the thing about forgetting: you don’t know what you’ve lost. That’s usually a feature, not a bug.
Not today.
Because I’m pretty sure I’ve forgotten something important. And unlike normal forgetting, where the memory is in your brain somewhere, you just have to find a way to access it, I had my memories extracted, so they are not in there anymore. They aren’t anywhere, I think, because I don’t think they can keep memories.
It’s not like computer memory—just remove it from one folder and put it in another. When they take your memories they just… are gone.
Okay, I am lying a little bit, because there is some other way to get those memories back, sort of. You have to find the person who remembers what you forgot. Someone who was with you. Or, at the very least, someone you knew well and told everything. If I can find someone who shared those memories with me, I could get them back a little. Enough.
Thing is, I don’t remember who that would be.
